Reading/Writing

Our dedicated team of educators is committed to providing a comprehensive curriculum that nurtures the intellectual and creative growth of each student. Through our reading classes, students embark on captivating literary journeys, exploring a diverse range of genres and texts. From classic novels to contemporary literature, we foster a deep appreciation for the written word, encouraging critical thinking and analysis.

Math/Science

In our Math classes, students delve into the exciting world of numbers, patterns, and mathematical concepts. Our Science classes ignite curiosity and inspire a love for the natural world. Students explore various scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science.

Art

In our Art classes, students embark on a journey of imagination, where they learn fundamental techniques, explore different mediums, and develop their artistic skills. From drawing and painting to sculpture and mixed media, we provide a comprehensive curriculum that encourages experimentation and artistic growth.

Critical Thinking

At CCLC we prioritize the development of critical thinking skills in our students. We believe that critical thinking is a vital skill that empowers individuals to engage with the world thoughtfully, make informed decisions, and solve complex problems.

Preschool: 3-4 Years

Preschool Class children must be the age of 3 by September 1 of the current school year to be enrolled in the two-day morning preschool class. Exceptions require a student/parent interview and approval from the teaching staff and school Administrator.

All students must be self-sufficient in toileting or “potty-trained”. NO Diapers or pull ups will be allowed. Exceptions for children with special needs outlined by the child’s physician may be accommodated if added staffing is available or parent support is provided in the classroom.

Students completing the two-day preschool program will advance to the 3-day Preschool Class program the following year upon the recommendation of the lead teacher.

Pre-K: 4-5 Years

Preschool Class children are enrolled if they have completed the two-day preschool program or are enrolled at age 4. Children must have reached the age of 4 by September 1 of the current school year to be enrolled in this 3 day morning Preschool class. Exceptions require a student/parent interview and approval from the teaching staff and school Administrator.

Students completing this 3-day Preschool Class program will advance to the 5-day Kindergarten Class program the following year upon the recommendation of the lead teacher.

Kindergarten: 5-6 Years

Kindergarten Class children must have reached the age of 5 by September 1 of the current school year. Exceptions require a student/parent interview and approval from the teaching staff and school Administrator.

These students will be a part of the five-day morning kindergarten program and will advance to the first grade upon recommendation of the lead teacher.

Elementary

Children enrolled in the elementary program must have reached age 6 by September 1 of the current school year. Advancement beyond first grade will be decided by the lead teacher and the student’s parents/ guardians.

 We believe in fostering a positive and respectful school climate. Our discipline policies are designed to encourage self-discipline, responsibility, and mutual respect among students. We emphasize character development and utilize restorative practices to resolve conflicts and promote healthy relationships. Our staff members are dedicated to modeling and teaching appropriate behavior while providing guidance and support to students.

Are you affiliated with a specific church or denomination?

 Yes, we are affiliated with the Nazarene denomination. Our curriculum and teachings are based on Christian principles and values.

What age groups do you cater to?

We cater to children from preschool (typically ages 3-5) through elementary school (grades K-8th).

Do you offer any support services, such as counseling or learning assistance?

 Yes, we have support services available to meet the diverse needs of our students. We may provide counseling services to support students’ emotional well-being and social development. Additionally, we may offer learning assistance programs for students who require additional academic support. Our dedicated staff members work collaboratively with parents to address any concerns and provide the necessary assistance.
